Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure and sense of tremendous achievement that we anticipate the culminating weeks of the inaugural season for UNF Opera Ensemble. Being able to produce and successfully perform the first fully staged opera production amounts to a truly monumental achievement for this young ensemble. Our future plans are also very ambitious. In December 2007 UNF Opera Ensemble will present a fully staged production of Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian-Carlo Menotti, and in April 2008, a school tour version of Little Red Riding Hood by Seymour Barab.
Accomplishments of this caliber require artistic vision, tremendous dedication, professional expertise, a little bit of luck, and most importantly, financial support. In order to fulfill our ambitions, provide great performance opportunities for our students, and continue to reinforce our presence as one of the finest and most comprehensive undergraduate departments of music in this region, we are asking for your financial support!
UNF Opera Ensemble has no production budget and relies entirely on box office revenues to cover its operational costs. Your financial support in form of sponsorship donations suggested below, or through purchase of program advertising will ensure continued success for this truly unique ensemble.
The positive energy and creative atmosphere at the UNF Department of Music is contagious so I hope you will join us in celebrating and supporting the outstanding talent that flourishes here.
Thank you for your contribution.
Yours truly,
